What is included in the trip price?
Your package includes 12 days of comfortable lodging, two meals per day, all in-country transportation, expert-led classes in dance, drumming, and cooking, as well as guided cultural workshops and excursions. You'll also receive group travel shirts, commemorative items, access to monthly Zoom preparation sessions, and a digital photo album to capture the journey.
(Airfare, personal expenses, and optional activities are not included.)
Is the Juneteenth discount already applied?
Yes! The prices you see already reflect the $1,000 discount (no promo code needed). This special Juneteenth pricing is only available through July 4th, so be sure to book before then:

You can choose to pay in full or in installments, whichever works best for you!
Can I pay in installments?
Absolutely! You can secure your spot with a deposit and pay the rest in monthly installments leading up to the trip. Payment plans are available for both double and single occupancy options.
Full payment is also accepted if you prefer to pay in one go. Check the booking page for the latest payment breakdown.
Is airfare included in the trip cost?
No, airfare is not included. We recommend booking flights early for the best rates. Group rates may be available, and we can share information on preferred airlines and routes.
What should I pack for the trip?
We’ll send a full packing list closer to the trip, but here’s a quick guide to start:
Light, breathable clothing
Comfortable walking shoes + sandals
Hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent
Swimwear for beach or pool time
Reusable water bottle
Any necessary personal medications
Do I need any vaccinations before traveling?
We recommend consulting your healthcare provider about vaccinations or travel medications for Senegal and The Gambia. We’ll also share general guidelines before departure.
How do I make a deposit, and when is the full payment due?
You can reserve your spot by making a deposit through our secure online system.
-Double Occupancy: $750 deposit
-Single Occupancy: $1,000 deposit

What is the cancellation policy?
All deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the trip start date result in a loss of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 60 days result in a loss of 100% of the trip cost.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage.
