What is included in the trip price?
The trip price includes all lodging, two meals per day, all in-country transportation, expert-led activities (dance, drumming, and cooking classes), scheduled excursions, cultural workshops, group travel shirts and paraphernalia, pre-trip Zoom meetings, and a commemorative digital photo album.
(Airfare, personal expenses, and optional activities are not included.)
Is airfare included in the trip cost?
No, airfare is not included. We recommend booking flights early for the best rates. Group rates may be available, and we can share information on preferred airlines and routes.
What should I pack for the trip?
Pack light, breathable clothing suitable for warm weather. Essentials include:
-Comfortable walking shoes
-Sandals
-Sunscreen, hat, and insect repellent
-Swimwear (if you plan to visit the beach or pool)
-Reusable water bottle and personal medications
A full packing list will be sent closer to departure.
Do I need any vaccinations before traveling?
Yes, some vaccinations are recommended when visiting Senegal and Gambia. These may include Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Yellow Fever. Consult your healthcare provider at least 4–6 weeks before departure.
How do I make a deposit, and when is the full payment due?
You can reserve your spot by making a deposit through our secure online system.
-Double Occupancy: $750 deposit
-Single Occupancy: $1,000 deposit

What is the cancellation policy?
All deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations made more than 60 days before the trip start date result in a loss of the deposit.
Cancellations made within 60 days result in a loss of 100% of the trip cost.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes cancellation coverage.
What kind of support can I expect during the trip?
You’ll have 24/7 access to our on-the-ground team and travel leaders for assistance with logistics, safety, and cultural guidance. We’re with you every step of the journey.
