Bring the Next Generation to the Culture.
African Soul International is offering scholarships for eligible Los Angeles County residents to attend the ASI Culture Conference, October 23–25, 2026.
Scholarships are funded by LA County Arts and Culture through the Creative Wellness program and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Youth scholarships are generously supported by Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture through the Creative Wellness program and CFCI.

A Home for Culture, Community & Creativity
The ASI Cultural Arts Center is a project of the Artist Success Institute, created to preserve, uplift, and pass forward African and African-American cultural traditions through movement, music, education, and community connection.
Rooted in legacy and driven by purpose, the Center serves as a welcoming gathering place where culture is honored, youth are empowered, and generations come together to learn, heal, and create.
This is more than a building — it is a living space where tradition meets the present and culture is carried forward with intention and respect.
Our Mission
The ASI Cultural Arts Center exists to provide a safe, accessible, and culturally grounded space for African and Indigenous artistry to thrive. Through intentional programming and community-centered experiences, the Center supports cultural preservation while fostering identity, wellness, and creative expression.
What We Offer at the ASI Cultural Arts Center
Black Dance Academy – Weekly African dance classes for youth and adults.
Youth-centered programming rooted in identity, pride, and cultural knowledge
Access to master artists and cultural tradition bearers
Community-based learning, healing, and creative expression
A hub for intergenerational connection and cultural exchange
All programming at the Center is presented as part of the Artist Success Institute’s nonprofit mission to support artists, culture bearers, and community impact.

Through classes, rehearsals, workshops, performances, and community gatherings, the ASI Cultural Arts Center nurtures creativity while honoring the cultural significance behind every movement, rhythm, and tradition shared within the space.
The Center is designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and grounded — a place where people of all backgrounds can engage with African culture in an authentic and respectful way.
