Join African Soul International for a powerful three-day cultural gathering celebrating movement, music, and community during the first days of Kwanzaa.
Detty December in LA is rooted in African and African-American traditions and designed to bring people together through dance, rhythm, games, and shared cultural experiences.

Event Schedule & Activities:
December 26 day 1 (Umoja – Unity)
“Back to the Motherland” LIVE PARTY EVENT
8:00 PM – 2:00 AM — Featuring Afrobeats, Amapiano, and a LIVE performance by 4X Grammy Award winner Magatte Fall & Max Percussion
December 27 — day 2 (Kujichagulia – Self-Determination)
10–11 AM — Tiny Tots Dance Class FREE
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Spades Masterclass teaching Black culture to young professionals
3:30 PM: Spades Contest — $500 grand prize
8:00 PM: Line Dance Party
December 28 — Day 3 (Ujima – Collective Work)
Beyoncé-Themed Karaoke Contest
8:00 PM — Dress up, bring your crew, Destiny’s Child to Cowboy Carter energy encouraged - $500 Grand Prize
