On February 27, 2025, African Soul International brought the magic of African music, dance, and storytelling to the Wilshire Ebell Theater with a breathtaking performance of A Voyage to Africa.

Audiences were transported through

History, rhythm, and tradition in this unforgettable LIVE theater production

⭐ World-class dancers & musicians bringing African culture to life

⭐ Choreography & direction by Dr. Jewel "Adama" Jackson

With a sold-out school matinee and an electrifying evening performance, this production was a true celebration of African heritage, movement, and storytelling.

Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting – ASI Cultural Arts Center

February 1, 2025

ASI proudly opened the first Black woman-owned cultural arts center in Los Angeles!

This past event was one for the books! We honored some incredible leaders, surprised Baba Malik Sow, and celebrated culture, community, and legacy the ASI way.

The energy was unmatched—the music, the food, the love, and of course, the children DANCE danced! Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful way to open our new home.

We opened the doors to our brand-new spot at Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw Mall, Suite 103—right next to Southern Girl Desserts!

ASI Kwanzaa Celebration (December 26, 2024)

We celebrate Kwanzaa with storytelling, hands-on activities, and cultural exploration. We also honored the life and legacy of Nzingha Camara, a beloved elder in our community, whose contributions in education and the arts have inspired countless individuals.

A one-day cultural celebration of Kwanzaa’s seven principles, featuring storytelling, live performances, and interactive family-friendly activities. Attendees enjoyed African drumming, dance, and community discussions on cultural unity.
